Birds Of Prey

This image was captured at the Territory Wild Life Perk near Darwin in the Northern Territory. This is a wonderful place to visit where there are many animals and birds on display. The image was captured with a Nikon D2H and 300mm lens.

This thornbill has been photographed with a Nikon FM2 camera and a 200mm micro lens. The 200mm lens is excellent to avoid scaring timid animals or birds.

When photographing birds it is very usefull to use a long lens to give sufficient distance from the subject. Here a 200mm lens was used.

This Rufous Fantail was captured on Kodachrome film using a Nikon FM2 camera with the Nikon 200mm micro lens. This is a most beautiful bird and is very common in the south east of Australia.

Australian Red Browed Finch – Nikon, 200mm, Micro Lens

This Australian bird the red browed finch has a splash of red on its face and also on its tail, it is a tiny but lovely finch. The image was taken with a Nikon D2H and 200mm, f/4.0, Micro lens; settings were, 1/60 second, f/9. This lens is wonderfully sharp and give a good distance from the subject for small creatures.
